Insurtech & Fintech

In short

CARBON Marketing Agency works with insurtech and fintech businesses selling into insurers, brokers, banks and financial services firms. In these markets trust is critical and sales cycles are long, so we lead with what buyers care about most: a clear answer to their biggest commercial problem right now. We find the right accounts, tailor the message to their researched needs, and build the routes that get you through procurement and into the room.

Why CARBON knows this market

She co-founded pension software platform Selectapension, and worked in Fidelity Investments' in-house marketing agency. She has since worked inside a top UK insurer, developing and launching a new product at Hastings Direct, and across insurtech at The Floow, eDriving and ABAX, building telematics insurance programmes with partners including Direct Line and Howden. Today she is fractional Chief Revenue Officer at Onboard Analytics, working with several top 10 UK insurers.

02 // WHAT WE SEE

What usually holds Insurtech & Fintech back

01

Long cycles, slow procurement

Insurers and banks buy carefully. Even when the answer in the room is yes, legal, compliance and procurement can take six to nine months, and the pipeline stalls while you wait.

02

Selling the technology, not the outcome

Buyers don't buy integrations or algorithms. They buy lower costs, less fraud, better retention or faster decisions. Propositions that lead with features rarely get past the first meeting.

03

Chasing the biggest names first

The biggest brands aren't always the buyers with the biggest problem. Time spent chasing familiar logos can be time not spent with the accounts most likely to sign.

03 // HOW WE HELP

What we change first

01

Messaging built on researched need

We find out what your target accounts actually need, then lead with why you solve their biggest commercial issue right now, not a list of features.

02

The right accounts, in the right order

An Ideal Customer Profile and target list ranked by the size of each buyer's problem, not the size of their brand.

03

Faster routes to contract

Partner channels through suppliers your buyers already trust, plus Account Based Marketing (ABM), events and LinkedIn that keep you front of mind with every stakeholder until the deal is signed.
